1. About these terms
NoPhoto is operated by Ping Media Group Ltd. These terms govern your use of our website and dating app. Read them before creating an account. Our Privacy Policy explains our use of personal information; accepting these terms does not replace a separate consent choice.

2. The service and your account
NoPhoto is a dating service for adults aged 18 or over, using written profiles rather than photographs. The current early release provides profiles, discovery, Pings, private conversations, blocking and safety reporting.
You can send three Pings per day, resetting at midnight UK time, without carrying unused allowances forward. Only completed sends count. A pass or expiry does not refund an allowance. Each Ping responds to a profile answer and is available for seven days. You cannot send another Ping to the same person after they pass or it expires, although they may initiate contact with you later.
Accepting a Ping reveals both first names and opens a free text conversation. Conversations have no inactivity countdown. Either member can end a conversation or block the other; this removes ordinary messages for both people and cannot be undone. Previously submitted safety reports are handled separately as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Use accurate information about yourself and a first name you go by. Keep your password secure and tell us if your account may have been compromised. You can correct your first name in Edit Essentials; this does not create a new identity or remove blocks.
Device location is required to set up a profile. We use an approximate area as explained in the Privacy Policy. Discovery also requires a verified email, an adult profile, completed answers, saved preferences and active dating-data consent. Consent can be withdrawn through Privacy choices.
The current release is free. If we introduce paid features, we will explain the price, renewal and cancellation terms before you choose to buy. We do not guarantee a particular number of profiles, a match or a relationship.
3. Community rules
You must not:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or abuse another person, or encourage hateful or discriminatory conduct.
- Impersonate someone, operate deceptive personas, scam people, ask for money fraudulently or send unsolicited commercial material.
- Evade a block or account restriction, including through another account.
- Scrape profiles, automate account creation or searches, or try to infer someone’s exact location or movements.
- Publish another person’s private information, infringe their rights, or post illegal, exploitative or sexually explicit material.
- Bypass access controls, interfere with the service or access another person’s account.
Keep your own contact details, exact address and identifiable daily routine out of profile answers. Do not post information about other people without a lawful reason to share it.
4. Your writing and our content
You retain rights in your profile writing, Pings and messages. You permit us to store, format and display them to their intended audience as needed to provide NoPhoto, subject to your privacy choices. A Ping keeps a copy of the answer it responds to. This permission does not give us ownership of your writing or permission to sell it for unrelated advertising.
You are responsible for having the right to share your content. Deletion removes it from the active service, subject to the retention limits explained in the Privacy Policy. It cannot recall another person’s screenshot.
NoPhoto’s software, branding and original site content belong to Ping Media Group Ltd or their respective licensors. These terms allow personal use of the service, not copying or commercial exploitation of it.
5. Safety and concerns
Email verification is not an identity check or background check. Initials and approximate areas reduce what we disclose but cannot guarantee anonymity, prevent recognition or establish that another person is trustworthy.
Use Block member to stop the two accounts finding each other in discovery or contacting each other. Send a report before blocking or ending a conversation if you want the operator to review its content. Blocks cannot guarantee protection against a newly created account. Read our safety explanation.
Report a concern is available on profiles, incoming Pings and conversations. Reports enter a restricted operator inbox. This is not a continuously monitored or emergency service.
To raise a safety concern, report content or challenge an account decision, email contact@pingmedia.net with “NoPhoto safety” or “NoPhoto account review” in the subject. Include the relevant profile link and a brief explanation. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. This email route is not an emergency or continuously monitored service. In immediate danger in the UK, call 999.
6. Restrictions, leaving and changes
We may restrict access, remove content or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to investigate a concern, enforce these rules, protect people or comply with law. We will explain the reason and how to contact us where appropriate, unless doing so would compromise safety, an investigation or legal obligations. You can ask us to review a decision using the contact above.
You can stop using discovery, withdraw consent or delete your account. We may change the service as it develops or temporarily interrupt it for maintenance. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable, except when urgent security or legal action is needed. We will not treat an update to these terms as fresh consent for sensitive-data processing.
7. Responsibility and your legal rights
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from personal use of NoPhoto.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your applicable statutory consumer rights remain in place.
English and Welsh law governs these terms. Consumers retain mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction where the law provides them, including Scotland and Northern Ireland. Contact us first if you would like help resolving a concern; this does not restrict your legal rights.
